A deep understanding of genetics is at the core of what FitnessGenes does. With a team of geneticists, doctors, and sports scientists, we are able to distill complex research findings in genomics, genetics, and epigenetics to provide you with easy-to-understand, actionable health advice. You could go as far to say it’s in our DNA, but we wouldn’t lower ourselves to such an obvious cliché.

Of course, genes don’t work in isolation. To only focus on DNA is to ignore the other half of the picture: your lifestyle and environment. What you eat, how often you exercise, and the quality of your sleep all strongly affect your health and fitness, both independently and through complex interactions with your genes.

That’s why, in addition to incorporating lifestyle data into our 135+ genetic reports, our team has also developed exclusive lifestyle-based reports, which can be accessed completely free of charge.

While a sole focus on your lifestyle is still only looking at one side of the coin, these reports can help you to identify potential health risks and manage them with personalized recommendations.

To unlock your free lifestyle-based reports, simply follow these steps:

1. Create your free my.fitnessgenes.com account

As all of our reports, insights, and recommendations are delivered via our secure online Members’ Area, your first step is to create your free personal account. It’s here that you’ll set up your login details and set your privacy preferences.

2. Complete your onboarding questionnaire

After creating your personal account, you’ll be asked to complete an eight-question onboarding questionnaire. Here you’ll provide critical biometric and lifestyle data, including your age, height, weight, and activity level, which will be used to unlock your initial reports. These will be immediately accessible from your personal Dashboard.

3. Complete your Lifestyle Profile

The data that you provide in the onboarding questionnaire represents approximately 15% of the lifestyle data that is used to calculate your reports. To access your full complement of reports, locate your Lifestyle Profile on your personal Dashboard and complete all five sections (Demographic, Behavior, Biometric, Activity and Diagnostic). Each section will be marked with a green tick once it has been completed.

After completing the above steps, you will have full access to all lifestyle-based reports currently available within your Members’ Area. This data will also be used to calculate all future report releases, so be sure to review and update your Lifestyle Profile every three months.

Once you have unlocked all of your reports, the next step will be to optimize your daily routine by saving and following your personalized lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise recommendations. You can learn more about this with our step-by-step guide: How to Save and Follow Your Recommended Actions.
