Yes, absolutely. We ship to almost every country worldwide from our UK-based distribution centre. Exceptions exist for countries with restrictions on the shipment of DNA samples: Russia, China, North Korea, Mexico and Spain. If you order from a country we cannot ship to or receive samples from, you'll receive a full and immediate refund. For customers in New York and Maryland: we can ship your kit to you, but your sample must be collected and returned from outside the state, due to local regulations.
Yes, you can. The unique barcode on the kit is registered to the individual at the point they set up their FitnessGenes account, not at purchase. So if you're buying it as a gift, the person taking the test can simply register it under their own name when they set up their account.
Not at all, it is completely non-invasive. You provide your DNA sample via a saliva sample, meaning no needles or buccal swabs. The testing process typically takes 2–3 minutes to complete.
Following all user quality controls will significantly increase the chances of receiving your results from your first sample. However, if less than 95% of your genetic variants are identified during the analysis, we'll provide you with a free retest to ensure that you receive your full collection of DNA reports.
